I am sorry and glad to say this group has already been signed... good for them... bad for you if you were looking to pick up a sick band. They just signed on to Ferret in late October. But... maybe they are still worth pursuing if that's your cup of tea.
Gwen Stacy... sounds like a girl with two first names. The reality of it is, these boys are no pansies. Hardcore metal with a kiss of punk placed in every song to soften up their edges. I have yet to see them live because they refuse to come to Florida (what is it about this place that no one likes?) Anyways, I digress. The songs they have posted are polished and a guaranteed face melting. If you are down with hardcore, you will dig this band.
They definitely have a chance to break into the underground scene--maybe even get on some horror movie soundtrack in the future. Right now I think these boys will be looking to touring to get themselves off the ground so watch out for them in a city near you. You know the routine... click the blog title if you want a listen :-)

Lions of SWE
Lions of SWE... oh where do I start. These guys are great... definitely a little more pop punk... kind of a happy mix between The Hives and Taking Back Sunday. Their music is really catchy, definitely worth flailing your body around for.
They have a few songs post on their MySpace right now that you should check out. "Boys Are Fun" and "Blood and Money." I really think if someone picked these boys up, with a little bit of final finish they would definitely be ready for a record. Boys Are Fun is a sure single... the name in itself makes you wanna listen, am i right or am i right? The second song Blood and Money is a little heavier--more screaming and faster paced; maybe better for those people who don't like to admit that they listen to slightly emo music... you can play this song for your friends and they will never know.
Anyways check them out (click blog title link). They will rock your socks off.

800beloved
A friend of mine actually turned me on to this gentleman. His music is fantastic. He recently added on some band members so that he would be able to play live shows. Currently he is unsigned. I personally believe, as a band, he has a huge market available for him. His music could most certainly be used in television as some sort of sitcom intro or something you would see in "The Hills" as background music. On top of which, his club appearances definitely have potential I'm sure if he added some sort of dark stage act to it (I, however, have never seen him live).
Scenester kids, especially in places like Miami and NYC really seem to be getting back into this electro-type of music; almost a new-age version of old school 80's electro. His music is appealing in that it still has that 80's electro sound, however it moves to a darker side of it. It provides a happy medium for those who may not really dig that type of sound and it's definitely unique in its own right. What makes him the package is his day-job; he work(s)/(ed) at a funeral home. That little tid bit adds to the gothic nature of his music.
Anyhow, if you like mellow electro and dig all the new-age stuff they have been playing in Miami scenester clubs, you will definitely dig this. Check out his myspace profile (click blog title link) and listen to what he has posted; keep yourself updated though because he changes out his music with some frequency. I recommend the song Galaxies.

Newbie
Okay, so this whole blog thing is a new deal for me; on recommendation of a friend I decided to start this blog for a couple of reasons. First reason is, it seems I have a lot to say about music. Granted, I am not working for a label currently, nor am I any kind of trusted music critic for some higher power, but musicians/music managers often seek my opinion on new projects and new acts. It's kind of an ego booster to know that my opinion matters to some people in the music business so I figure, hell... why not share it with the world. Secondly, there are some seriously amazing musical acts out there... and some seriously shitty ones. Part of my need to blog is to reveal these uncoveries. I have a passion for finding talented people and unique music and I think it is important to share it with others. I have yet to meet a person in my life who doesn't like music. Lastly, a lot of crazy things happen in my life on an almost weekly basis. This site will not be ENTIRELY dedicated to music as I will on occasion go off on a tangent. But hey, a good blog needs diversification right? Anyways, hopefully my babbling will provide some sort of insight for somebody and maybe even a new favorite band. Enjoy.
